We mentioned in our last post that the Civitas Reimagining the Waterfront exhibit at the Museum of the City of New York closed on October 28th, and since then the exhibit has been searching for a new home. Sounds like plans are in the works for the exhibit to possibly move into the Hunter College East Harlem Art Gallery in the Silberman School of Social Work building at 3rd Avenue and 119th Street.
Hunter Armstrong, the executive director of Civitas, proposed to the gallery’s advisory board that should the Reimagining the Waterfront exhibit be allowed to move into the new space then our studio project may share some of that space to display some of our final work.
Keep your fingers crossed that something works out. This would be a great new home for the Civitas exhibit and would futher cement Hunter College’s committment to the East Harlem neighborhood.
